Victoria Hospital, Wimborne
The first phase of the redevelopment of the hospital – The Leslie Adams Building was officially opened in December 2001 by Viscount Cranborne.
The development provides a new Outpatient Department and a Clinical Investigations Unit together with an extended X-ray Department and new administration offices.
The new building is the first phase of the redevelopment of the hospital and was undertaken by the Friends of Wimborne Hospitals and Million for Millennium Appeal. It was built after an extraordinary fund raising success at a cost of over £2M out of which the community has funded 95%. The balance has come from the NHS which will fund ongoing costs.
