Royal Visit for Clevedon

The new purpose built outpatients department at Clevedon Hospital was recently opened by HRH The Princess Royal. This royal opening is a fitting tribute to Gwen Hobbs, Senior Nurse, and the staff at Clevedon Hospital. The League of Friends fund raising committee Dr Jeff Ford, David Fife, John Mabley and Gwen Hobbs have worked so hard to secure the improved facilities which will benefit so many people.

The new department provides an additional consulting room, extra physiotherapy space, and audiology and speech therapy room, nurses’ treatment room plus a much-improved X-ray facility including a room for an ultra sound scanner.

The League of Friends raised a phenomenal £166,000 towards the project; their constant support is vital to the success of Clevedon Hospital.
