Trained as a General Nurse/Midwife/District Nurse. Spent several years in Scotland working as a District Nurse/Midwife. Appointed as Senior Nurse Manager at Axminster Hospital. Following a reorganisation of the local health services, appointed as Locality Manager for Axminster. During my period at Axminster, the Community Hospital received a Charter Mark and also Accreditation by the Healthcare Accreditation Programme. For ten years a Surveyor for the Healthcare Accreditation Programme. I resigned my post at Axminster in order to work freelance on Community Hospitals and devote more time to expand the work of the CHA. I have a
genuine interest in all aspects of Community Hospitals but particularly
in standards, quality, innovation and best practice. |
