Has been in General Practice at Tewkesbury since 1971 and is retiring in June 2005. He has been active at Tewkesbury Hospital as a GP anaesthetist until 2000, and currently chair of the Medical Staff Committee.

Also a member of BASICS Gloucestershire, he is a former Treasurer of CHA, and works for the Healthcare Accreditation Programme.
