Innovations and Best Practice in Community Hospitals - Awards 2006

In January 2000 The Department of Health awarded the Community Hospitals Association a grant to look at Innovations in Community Hospitals We used the grant to build up our United Kingdom database of good practice in Community Hospitals and launched an "Innovations Award."  The scheme has proved so successful it is now an annual event.

The Awards process: -

Completed forms are returned to the CHA by the closing date.  A panel will then short-list the nominations. CHA committee members will visit short-listed hospitals in March. The winners will be announced at the Annual Conference. In September/October there will be an Innovations and Best Practice Day Conference, when award winners will be presented with a certificate and an engraved item of cut glass. Winners will give a presentation of their project.

Also in September/October, the Community Hospitals Association will issue its next publication of Innovations and Best Practice in Community Hospitals. This will contain case studies of all award winning and highly commended projects and an index of innovations and best practice from other applicants.
